Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

On 25 July 1990 the Governor‑General, with Federal Executive Council advice, formally declared a specific Queensland parcel (Lot 640 on Plan CWL3521) to be a property to which section 9 of the World Heritage Properties Conservation Act 1983 applies, recording that it was “likely to be damaged.” The proclamation attaches that statutory label to the land and thus triggers whatever restrictions, permits or obligations section 9 and related rules impose, though those operative effects are not set out here.
