#### 5 Meaning of “at work” 5 Meaning of “at work” > > (1) For the purposes of this Act, an employee is at work for an employer when the employee is— > > > > > (a) at a workplace of the employer (or a related corporation of the employer) whether or not the employee is actually performing work at the time, or > > > > > (b) at any other place while performing work for the employer (or a related corporation of the employer). > > > (2) An employee who is a bailee of a public vehicle or a carrier under Chapter 6 of the [Industrial Relations Act 1996](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1996-017) is considered to be performing work for the employer while engaged under the contract of bailment or carriage concerned.
