68B Claim for compensation—eligible progressive disease (1) Despite section 197(2), the Authority or a self‑insurer may receive a claim for compensation under Division 5 of Part 5 for an injury that is an eligible progressive disease at any time after the date of the injury. (2) For the purposes of subsection (1), the Authority or self-insurer, having regard to any relevant matter including medical evidence, must be satisfied that the degree of impairment resulting from the eligible progressive disease is unlikely to stabilise.
