623M Transitional provision—Workplace Safety Legislation Amendment (Workplace Manslaughter and Other Matters) Act 2019
On the day on which Part 3 of the **Workplace Safety Legislation Amendment (Workplace Manslaughter and Other Matters) Act 2019** comes into operation, the Chief Executive Officer ceases to be a Director of the Board.

623MA Transitional provision—Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Amendment (Arbitration) Act 2021
(1) Subdivision 4 of Division 2 of Part 6 of this Act does not apply to a dispute relating to a claim in respect of—
(a) an injury that occurred before the commencement date; or
(b) an illness, the onset of which occurred before the commencement date.
***commencement date*** means the date of commencement of section 35 of the **Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Amendment (Arbitration) Act 2021**.

623N Transitional provision—Workplace Safety Legislation and Other Matters Amendment Act 2022
(1) Sections 234 and 241, as in force on the commencement date, are taken to apply to a person for the purposes of a claim that relates to the death of a worker that occurred before the commencement date if the person is under 25 years of age on the commencement date.
(2) In this section, ***commencement date*** means the date of commencement of Division 1 of Part 8 of the **Workplace Safety Legislation and Other Matters Amendment Act 2022**.

624 Transitional provision—Local Government Legislation Amendment (Rating and Other Matters) Act 2022
Section 40(1)(d), as amended by section 44 of the **Local Government Legislation Amendment (Rating and Other Matters) Act 2022**, applies to a claim for compensation made on or after the commencement of that amendment.

625 Transitional provision—Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Amendment (WorkCover Scheme Modernisation) Act 2024
(1) The definition of ***mental injury*** as inserted by Division 1 of Part 2 of the amending Act and sections 39 and 40, as amended by that Division of that Act, apply to claims made in respect of injuries that occur on or after the date of commencement of Division 1 of Part 2 of the amending Act.
(2) Sections 163, 165 and 175, as in force immediately before the commencement of Division 2 of Part 2 of the amending Act, continue to apply to a worker who immediately before the date of commencement of that Division of the amending Act is receiving weekly payments despite the expiry of the second entitlement period.
(3) Section 301C, as in force immediately before the commencement of Division 4 of Part 2 of the amending Act, continues to apply to a dispute that relates to an injury that occurs before the date of commencement of that Division of the amending Act.
***amending Act*** means the **Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Amendment (WorkCover Scheme Modernisation) Act 2024**.
