623J Savings provision—seafarers' claims (1) This section applies to a claim for compensation made, and a premium collected or recovered under this Act that, but for *Samson Maritime Pty Ltd v Noel Aucote* [2014] FCAFC 182, would be a valid claim or validly collected or recovered premium in accordance with this Act. (2) If a claim has been accepted by the Authority, then it is taken to be a valid claim in accordance with this Act. (3) If a premium has been collected or recovered by the Authority then it is taken to be validly collected or recovered. (4) Nothing in this section creates any new entitlement to compensation.
