605A Review of the compensation scheme under this Act (1) The Minister must cause an independent review of the compensation scheme under this Act to be undertaken— (a) for the purposes of the first review under this section, on or by 31 December 2030; and (b) at least once in each period of 5 years after 31 December 2030. (2) For the purposes of subsection (1), the Minister may— (a) select a person to conduct the review; and (b) determine the terms of reference for the review. (3) A written report on any review conducted under this section must be given to the Minister. (4) The final report on any review conducted under this section must be laid before each House of the Parliament within 6 months after that report is given to the Minister under subsection (3).
