583 False or misleading information
(1) A provider of a professional service or a person on behalf of such a provider must not give another person information knowing that it may be used in connection with a claim for compensation under this Act, the **Accident Compensation Act 1985** or the **Workers Compensation Act 1958** if the provider or person knows that the information is false or misleading in a material particular.
(2) A person must not use information given by a provider of a professional service or by a person on behalf of such a provider in connection with a claim for compensation under this Act, the **Accident Compensation Act 1985** or the **Workers Compensation Act 1958** if the person knows that the information is false or misleading in a material particular.
