256 Time limit on response to offer (1) If a worker wishes to accept an offer of settlement made by the Authority or a self-insurer, he or she must give the Authority or self-insurer a written notice accepting the offer before the expiry of 28 days from the date the offer was given to him or her. (2) If a worker rejects the offer, or fails to accept the offer within that 28 day period, the application lapses and the worker ceases to be entitled to apply for a settlement under this Division in respect of the injury.
