#### 232 Worker’s right to information 232 Worker’s right to information (cf 1926 s 18B; 1987 s 270) > > (1) A worker may request the employer of the worker to supply the following information— > > > > > (a) the employer’s name and address for the service of documents for the purposes of this Act, and > > > > > (b) the name and address of the insurer from whom the employer has obtained a policy of insurance or, if the employer is a self-insurer, to be so informed. > > > (2) An employer, or a person acting for an employer in the management of the employer’s trade or business, must not— > > > > > (a) fail to supply any such information, or > > > > > (b) supply information which the employer or person knows to be false or misleading in a material particular. > > > > Maximum penalty—20 penalty units. > > > (3) In this section— > > > > employer, in relation to a worker, includes a principal within the meaning of section 20 of the 1987 Act who is liable to pay compensation to the worker.
