### 45 Persons to be notified > > (1)  *\[Section 45 Subsection (1) amended by No. 16 of 1995, s. 91 and Sched. 1 \]**\[Section 45 Subsection (1) substituted by No. 48 of 1996, s. 10 \]*The Registrar is to arrange a time and a place for the hearing and determination of a claim for compensation by the Tribunal and is to serve a notice of that time and place on every person who is served with a notice under [section 42](#GS42@EN) [(5)](#GS42@Gs5@EN) . > > > (2)  A person who is served with a notice under [subsection (1)](#GS45@Gs1@EN) shall be regarded as a party to the proceeding relating to the claim for compensation to which the notice relates. > > > (3)  *\[Section 45 Subsection (3) amended by No. 16 of 1995, s. 91 and Sched. 1 \]*The Tribunal may, in its discretion, join a person as a party to the proceeding if the Tribunal is satisfied that that person has a sufficient interest in the settlement of the matter to which the claim for compensation relates.
