Tasmania regulation
These regulations set the formal steps for claiming compensation under the Workers' (Occupational Diseases) Relief Fund Act 1954 and for appealing medical certificates. They require written applications addressed to the Secretary that identify the claimant, the employer at time of incapacity, and the grounds for the claim, and they require written appeals which the Secretary refers to a medical referee and for which the Secretary must notify the appellant. The rules affect workers seeking Fund relief and the Department officers handling applications and appeals.
