95 Cancellation or suspension of self-insurer licence by
regulator—Act, s 145U (g)
(1) If the regulator decides to suspend or cancel a self-insurer’s
self-insurer licence the regulator must give written notice of the
decision to the self-insurer, including when the suspension or
cancellation takes effect.
Note The regulator’s notice must comply with the requirements of the Act,
s 199A.
(2) A suspension or cancellation must not take effect earlier than 7 days
after the day the self-insurer is told about the decision.
(3) If the regulator suspends a self-insurer licence, the self-insurer is,
during the suspension—
(a) taken not to be a licensed self-insurer; and
(b) disqualified from applying for another self-insurer licence.
(4) The regulator may, at any time, by written notice to the self-insurer,
end or reduce the period of suspension of the self-insurer licence.
