69 Criteria for issuing insurer licence—Act, s 145J (b)
The regulator may issue an insurer licence only if satisfied the
applicant for the licence—
(a) is financially and prudentially sound; and
(b) if licensed, will—
(i) be able to meet the applicant’s existing and expected
liabilities under the Act; and
(ii) be able to meet the applicant’s obligations as an insurer
under the Act; and
(iii) comply with any conditions on the licence.
