sec.200 Constitution of specialty medical assessment tribunal— Act , s 494
For section 494 of the Act , for deciding a matter referred to a specialty medical assessment tribunal, the tribunal is constituted by— the chairperson of the tribunal; and 2 appointees to the panel of doctors for the tribunal, including appointees appointed as deputy chairpersons, who are chosen by the chairperson of the tribunal. When choosing an appointee to the panel of doctors for the tribunal under subsection (1) (b) , the chairperson must consider the medical specialty that is relevant to the matter referred to the tribunal. See also section 204 in relation to consulting the secretary of the tribunal. (sec.200-ssec.1) For section 494 of the Act , for deciding a matter referred to a specialty medical assessment tribunal, the tribunal is constituted by— the chairperson of the tribunal; and 2 appointees to the panel of doctors for the tribunal, including appointees appointed as deputy chairpersons, who are chosen by the chairperson of the tribunal. (sec.200-ssec.2) When choosing an appointee to the panel of doctors for the tribunal under subsection (1) (b) , the chairperson must consider the medical specialty that is relevant to the matter referred to the tribunal.
