sec.160 Assessments using measures to be carried out by particular persons

An assessment using the functional independence measure or children’s functional independence measure may be used for deciding whether a serious personal injury meets the eligibility criteria for the injury only if the assessment is carried out by a person who is— accredited by the Australasian Rehabilitation Outcomes Centre to carry out the assessment; and approved by the insurer to carry out the assessment.

• (a) accredited by the Australasian Rehabilitation Outcomes Centre to carry out the assessment; and
• (b) approved by the insurer to carry out the assessment.
