#### 6A Commutations under section 51 for injuries received before 1998 amending Act 6A Commutations under section 51 for injuries received before 1998 amending Act > > (1) In this clause, the 1998 amending Act means the [Workers Compensation Legislation Amendment Act 1998](/view/pdf/asmade/act-1998-85). > > > (2) Section 51, as amended by the 1998 amending Act, applies to the commutation of a liability arising in respect of an injury received before or after the commencement of those amendments. > > > (3) However, the regulations may limit the circumstances in which a liability arising in respect of an injury received before the private insurance start time may be commuted and may make other modifications to the operation of that section in respect of the commutation of any such liability.
