33 Payments to people with legal disabilities
(1) If compensation under this Act is payable to someone with a legal
disability, the Magistrates Court may make any order about the
payment of the compensation that it considers appropriate to protect
the person or the person’s interests.
person with a mental disability means a person who is not legally
competent to conduct the person’s legal affairs because of a mental
disability whether or not a guardian has not been appointed for the
person under the Guardianship and Management of Property
Act 1991.
someone with a legal disability means someone who is—
(a) a child; or
(b) a person with a mental disability.
