197 Appeals
(1) If a committee or the Magistrates Court gives a decision or makes an
order or award in relation to any matter that may be or is required to
be settled by arbitration under this Act, any party to the arbitration
may appeal from the decision, order or award to the Supreme Court.
Chapter 11 Procedure for payment of compensation
(2) The Magistrates Court Act 1930, part 4.5 (Civil appeals) applies in
relation to an appeal under subsection (1) as if—
(a) it were an appeal from a judgment or order of a kind mentioned
in that Act, section 274 (2) (Cases in which appeal may be
brought); and
(b) for an appeal from a decision, order or award of a committee—
the decision, order or award were a decision, order or award of
the Magistrates Court; and
(c) any necessary changes, and any changes prescribed by
regulation, were made.
