171H DI fund manager may act
(1) This section applies to a claim for payment if the claim was made by
a person eligible to make the claim under section 170E, section 170F
or section 170G.
Note Under s 170E, s 170F and s 170G, the employer’s liability is not covered
by a compulsory insurance policy.
(2) The DI fund manager may treat the claim for payment as having been
made against the DI fund if—
(a) the manager receives a copy of the claim under section 171G; or
(b) the manager is otherwise satisfied that it is reasonably likely that
there is no compulsory insurance policy in force that applies to
the claim.
