171 Payments out of DI fund
(1) A claim for payment, other than a claim for payment for an injury that
is an imminently fatal asbestos-related disease, may only be paid if
the terms of settlement of the claim are approved.
(2) The terms of settlement of a claim for payment may be approved by—
(a) if they provide for payment of a lump sum to the claimant for an
injury that is not an imminently fatal asbestos-related disease—
the Magistrates Court; or
(b) in any other case—the DI fund manager.
