177  Appointment of competent person to supervise diving work   A person conducting a business or undertaking at a workplace must appoint one or more competent persons to:  (a) supervise general diving work carried out in the business or undertaking; and  (b) perform other functions under this Division. Note 1: See regulation 174 for the qualifications of the competent person. Note 2: Section 12F of the Act provides that strict liability applies to each physical element of each offence under the Act, unless otherwise stated. The reference in section 12F of the Act includes these Regulations.
