529R Use of information on silica worker register

For the Act, section 273B(3)(b), information on the silica worker register may be used for the following purposes—

(a) to monitor and enforce compliance with the following—

(i) the Act and this regulation,

(ii) the Workers Compensation Act 1987,

(iii) the Workplace Injury Management and Workers Compensation Act 1998,

(b) without limiting paragraph (a), to—

(i) monitor compliance by a person conducting a business or undertaking with the duty to provide health monitoring in section 529CE(c), and

(ii) enable information sharing between SafeWork NSW and the Workers Compensation (Dust Diseases) Authority about the compliance,

(c) to give advice, information, education and training in relation to work health and safety,

(d) to provide health monitoring services to eligible workers.
