196 Information to be obtained and provided by importer

An importer of plant must—

(a) take all reasonable steps to obtain—

(i) the information that would be required to be provided by a manufacturer under the Act, section 23(4)(a) and (c), and

(ii) the information that would be required to be provided by the designer of the plant to the manufacturer under this regulation, sections 187 and 188, and

(b) give that information to a person to whom the importer supplies the plant.

Maximum penalty—

(a) for an individual—43 penalty units, or

(b) for a body corporate—217 penalty units.
