#### 49 Improvement notices 49 Improvement notices > > (1) This section sets out additional circumstances in which an improvement notice may be given by a government official who is exercising the functions of an inspector under section 191 of the WHS Act. > > > (2) The government official may give an improvement notice under section 191 of the WHS Act if the government official reasonably believes that a person is likely to contravene a provision of the WHS laws. > > > (3) Any such improvement notice is not required to state the matters set out in section 192 (1) of the WHS Act but must instead state the following— > > > > > (a) that the person giving the notice believes that the person to whom the notice has been given is likely to contravene a provision of the WHS laws, > > > > > (b) the provision that is likely to be contravened, > > > > > (c) briefly, how the provision is likely to be contravened, > > > > > (d) the day by which the person is required to comply with the notice.
