Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This Act extends the life of the wool industry's Market Support Fund by exactly one year. It changes a single date in the Wool Industry Act 1972, pushing the Fund's "termination date" from 1 July 1979 to 1 July 1980.

What this means:

The Market Support Fund (a financial pool used to stabilize wool prices and support the industry) was scheduled to shut down on 1 July 1979
This amendment keeps the Fund operational until 1 July 1980
No other changes are made to how the Fund operates, who manages it, or who can access it

This is a straightforward technical amendment that gives the wool industry an extra 12 months of support under the existing scheme without altering any other rules.
