Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This Act gives the wool industry an extra year by extending a legislative deadline.

What it does: It pushes back the "termination date" in the Wool Industry Act 1972 from 1 July 1978 to 1 July 1979. This date governs when the Market Support Fund (a financial safety net for wool growers) is set to end.

Who it affects: Wool growers and industry bodies who rely on or contribute to the Market Support Fund.

Why it matters: The extension keeps the fund (or related support arrangements) running for an additional 12 months beyond the original cutoff date.
