9F Definitions In this Division— ***authorised person*** means a person who is authorised by an authority to acquire and use an assumed identity; ***authority*** means an authority granted under section 9H to acquire and use an assumed identity; ***chief officer*** of an issuing agency means the chief executive officer (however described) of the agency; ***evidence*** means evidence similar to that ordinarily produced or given by the government issuing agency; ***government issuing agency***, in relation to an authority, means any of the following named in the authority that issues evidence of identity— (a) a person or body (whether incorporated or not) that performs any function of the Victorian government; or (b) a person or body (whether incorporated or not) prescribed by the regulations for the purposes of this definition; ***issuing agency*** means— (a) a government issuing agency; or (b) a non-government issuing agency; ***non-government issuing agency***, in relation to an authority, means a person, body or entity (other than a government issuing agency) named in the authority that issues evidence of identity; ***supervisor*** of an authorised person means the person who is appointed under section 9H(3) to supervise the acquisition and use of an assumed identity by the person.
