60 Applications for determination
(1) A person may apply in writing to the Geographical Indications Committee for the determination of a GI in relation to a foreign country or a region or locality in a foreign country. (2) A person may apply in writing to the Committee for the determination of a translation of a GI in relation to a foreign country or a region or locality in a foreign country. (3) An application under subsection (2) for the determination of a translation of a GI may be made: (a) after the GI is registered; or (b) at the same time as an application under subsection (1) for the determination of the GI.
