##### 47A Export of live native Australian animals by way of inter zoological gardens transfer—special conditions in respect of permits or authorities When section applies (1) This section applies to a permit granted, or an authority given, to export a live native Australian animal by way of an inter zoological gardens transfer. Conditions relating to agreements (2) Without limiting the conditions that may be imposed under subsection 47(1) in respect of the permit or authority, a condition so imposed may: (a) require the exporter of the animal to enter into a specified kind of legally enforceable agreement about the treatment or disposal of the animal and any progeny of the animal; and (b) require the exporter of the animal to take reasonable steps to enforce the agreement. Duration of permit or authority (3) For the purposes of section 48, the permit or authority is taken to be in force: (a) throughout the life of the animal; and (b) throughout the life, or lives, of any progeny of the animal; or for such lesser period as the Designated Authority determines in writing. Meaning of progeny (4) In this section: > progeny does not include animal reproductive material.
