88 Permits and authorities On and from the coming into operation of this section, a permit or authority which— (a) has been given or issued under section 4, 4A, 5, 6 or 7 of this Act as in force immediately before the commencement of section 6 of the **Wildlife (Amendment) Act 1997**; and (b) is in force immediately before the commencement of that section— is deemed to— (c) be an authorisation issued under Part IIIA of this Act and, except as is otherwise provided for in this section, the provisions of Part IIIA apply accordingly; and (d) continue in force, unless sooner suspended or cancelled in accordance with the provisions of Part IIIA, until the date on which the permit or authority would have expired if the **Wildlife (Amendment) Act 1997** had not been enacted.
