5DB Power to request a report

Scope (1) This section applies to a person if the Commission believes on reasonable grounds that: (a) the person has information or a document that is relevant to the functions of the Commission; and (b) the person is capable of using the information or document to prepare a report about a particular matter that is relevant to the functions of the Commission. Request (2) The Commission may, by written notice given to the person, request the person: (a) to prepare such a report; and (b) to give the report to the Commission within the period specified in the notice. (3) A period specified under subsection (2) must not be shorter than 14 days after the notice is given.
