4 Export Wheat Commission
(1) The Wheat Export Authority that existed under this Act immediately before the commencement of this subsection continues in existence as the Export Wheat Commission.
Note: Section 25B of the Acts Interpretation Act 1901 deals with the consequences of the change of name.
(1A) To avoid doubt, a reference in a law of the Commonwealth to the Export Wheat Commission must, in relation to matters that occurred before the commencement of this subsection, be construed as a reference to the Wheat Export Authority. (2) The Commission: (a) is a body corporate with perpetual succession; and (b) is to have a common seal; and (d) may sue and be sued in its corporate name. (3) All courts, judges and persons acting judicially must take judicial notice of the imprint of the seal of the Commission on a document, and must presume that the document was duly sealed. (4) A document signed by the Chairperson on behalf of the Commission is taken to have been signed with the authority of the Commission, unless the contrary is proved.
