Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

What it does: This is a technical tweak to the Wheat Industry Stabilization (Reimbursement of Borrowing Costs) Act 1979. It adds a reference to the Wheat Marketing Act 1979 in the definitions section of the Principal Act.

Why it matters: The change ensures that when the government reimburses borrowing costs for wheat industry operations, those arrangements also apply to section 44(3) of the Wheat Marketing Act 1979. This keeps the financial stabilization rules consistent across both pieces of wheat industry legislation.

In simple terms: It's a minor update to make sure a funding rule for wheat industry borrowing costs covers provisions in both the Stabilization Act and the Marketing Act.
