Plain English Summary

What this does

These regulations set the specific dollar amounts for the Wheat Industry Fund Levy — a fee paid by wheat growers to support industry activities.

They prescribe two key figures:

The levy rate: 2.5% of the relevant value or quantity of wheat
The minimum payment: $50 per liable party (ensuring small producers contribute at least this amount)

Who it affects

Wheat growers and producers who must pay the levy under the Wheat Industry Fund Levy Act 1989.

Why it matters

These numbers determine exactly how much money flows into the Wheat Industry Fund. The 2.5% rate provides a predictable percentage-based contribution, while the $50 minimum ensures baseline funding even for small-scale growers.
