sec.117 Limitation on interference with groundwater— Act , s 20

This section limits the groundwater in the Coastal Burnett groundwater management area that may be interfered with under section 20 (2) (c) of the Act . If the interference is by an excavation exposing the watertable by an area greater than 1,500m 2 , the interference with groundwater must be authorised under a water licence to interfere with the flow of water on, under or adjoining the land. Subsection (2) only applies to an excavation constructed after the commencement.
