5 Purposes for which functions may be exercised

For the Act, section 64AA(a), the Regulatory Authority must not exercise the functions conferred on the Authority by this part unless the exercise is for one or more of the following purposes—

(a) protecting declared catchment areas,

(b) protecting and enhancing the quality of water in declared catchment areas,

(c) protecting controlled areas,

(d) protecting and enhancing the quality of water in controlled areas.
