15 Disposal of animal carcasses near water

15 Disposal of animal carcasses near water

(1) A person must not do one or more of the following within 100m of a stream, reservoir or watercourse on land to which this division applies—

(a) leave the carcass of a dead animal,

(b) bury, or otherwise dispose of, the carcass of a dead animal,

(c) cause, arrange for or contribute to the burial or disposal of the carcass of a dead animal.

Maximum penalty—

(a) for a corporation—400 penalty units, or

(b) otherwise—200 penalty units.

(2) A person does not commit an offence under subsection (1) for anything done with the consent of Water NSW.
