79 Catchment correction notice may be given orally

79 Catchment correction notice may be given orally

(1) The Regulatory Authority may, instead of giving a direction under this Subdivision by notice in writing, cause the direction to be given orally by an authorised officer.

(2) A direction given orally to a person ceases to have effect on the expiration of the period of 72 hours after the time it was given unless confirmed by the Regulatory Authority by a correction notice in writing given to the person within that period.

(3) A direction given orally has the same effect as a direction given by notice in writing, and is taken to be a catchment correction notice.
