88 Reduction of water allocations

(1)  [Section 88 Subsection (1) amended by No. 33 of 2015, s. 17, Applied:01 Jan 2016] Where necessary to give effect to a water management plan, the Minister may reduce a water allocation of a licence, by notice in writing given to the licensee and, where the register of licences, water allocations and permits includes a notation that a person has a financial interest in the licence or a water allocation of that licence, to that person.

(2)  A reduction under subsection (1) is to be made in accordance with a relevant water management plan.

(3)  A notice under subsection (1) must include notification of any rights of review or appeal under Part 14 .

(4)  The reduction is to take effect on the day specified in the notice under subsection (1) .
