201A  Appointment of Chair of the Basin Officials Committee  (1) The Chair of the Basin Officials Committee is to be appointed by the Minister by written instrument. Note: The Chair of the Basin Officials Committee may be reappointed: see section 33AA of the Acts Interpretation Act 1901.  (2) To be eligible for appointment as the Chair of the Basin Officials Committee, an individual must be the Secretary of the Department or an SES employee.  (3) The appointment of the Chair of the Basin Officials Committee is not invalidated merely because of a defect or irregularity in connection with the appointment.
