71Q Termination of unlicensed water access for mining or petroleum activity (1) Subsection (2) applies to a person who, on the commencement, carries out a mining activity or petroleum activity without a licence. (2) The person has no authorisation to take water for the mining activity or petroleum activity if, on the expiry of a period of 2 years from the commencement, the person does not hold: (a) a licence granted under section 45(1) in accordance with section 71R; or (b) a licence granted under section 60(1) in accordance with section 71R.
