99 Managing Director (1) The board of a water corporation may appoint a person as the managing director of the water corporation, on a full-time or part-time basis. (2) The managing director of a water corporation holds office, subject to this Act— (a) for the term, not exceeding 5 years that is specified in the instrument of his or her appointment, and is eligible for re‑appointment; and (b) subject to the terms and conditions that are specified in that instrument. (3) The managing director of a water corporation is not capable of being appointed as the chairperson, deputy chairperson or another director of the corporation.
