98 Terms and conditions of appointment of members of board of directors (1) A member of the board of directors of a water corporation holds office, subject to this Act— (a) for the term, not exceeding 4 years, that is specified in the instrument of his or her appointment and is eligible for re‑appointment; and S. 98(1)(b) substituted by No. 17/2012 s. 11. (b) subject to this section— (i) in the case of Melbourne Water Corporation and each metropolitan water corporation, on the terms and conditions that are determined by the Minister in consultation with the Treasurer; and (ii) in the case of each non-metropolitan water corporation, on the terms and conditions that are determined by the Minister. (2) Each member of the board of directors of a water corporation holds office on a part-time basis. (3) In this section ***member of the board of directors*** does not include the managing director.
