246 Powers of Corporation and councils for community schemes (1) An Authority or a council in whose municipal district land affected by a community drainage or salinity mitigation or community water supply scheme is situated may, if requested by the committee to do so, exercise the powers and perform the functions of the committee. S. 246(2) inserted by No. 62/1995 s. 35(5)(c). (2) Despite anything to the contrary in any other Act, a council may, if requested under subsection (1), exercise powers and perform functions under this section where part of the affected land is situated outside the municipal district of the council.
