#### 123 Waste of water 123 Waste of water > > (1) If the Ministerial Corporation is of opinion that the water from any artesian well or bore is being wastefully or improperly used, or is being wasted, it may order the closing or partial closing of such artesian well or bore, or order such other precautions to be taken as it may deem necessary to prevent such improper use or waste. > > > (2) Any person refusing or neglecting to carry out any order given by the Ministerial Corporation under this section shall be liable, for every day during which such refusal or neglect continues after such order has been given, to a penalty not exceeding 2 penalty units. > > **s 123:** Am 1930 No 15, sec 4 (n); 1955 No 12, sec 12 (j); 1970 No 5, Sch; 1978 No 121, Sch 1 (27); 1992 No 112, Sch 1; 1997 No 128, Sch 1 \[18\]–\[20\].
