Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

What it does: This regulation cancels (repeals) the War Precautions (Electricity) Regulations 1918, which were emergency wartime rules controlling electricity supply and use during World War I.

Who it affects: Electricity suppliers, industrial users, and consumers who had been operating under the 1918 restrictions.

Why it matters: Made in April 1919—five months after the Armistice ended the war—this instrument is part of the wind-down of emergency wartime powers. It removes whatever specific controls the 1918 regulations had placed on electricity generation, distribution, or consumption, returning those matters to normal peacetime regulation.
