Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This Act authorises the government to spend £40 million (forty million pounds) from the national budget to pay war pensions to veterans and their families.

What it does:

Takes money from the Consolidated Revenue Fund (the government's main bank account) and puts it into a special War Pensions Fund
This legally sets aside the cash needed to pay pensions to former service members, war widows, and dependents
It is a simple "supply" bill — a routine piece of budget legislation ensuring there is money available to meet the country's obligations to those who served
