Plain English Summary

What this law does

This Act takes £28 million from the government's main bank account (the Consolidated Revenue Fund) and puts it into a special holding account called the War Pensions Fund. This money is then used to pay pensions to war veterans and their families.

Key points:

Simple money transfer: It is essentially a payment instruction from Parliament to the Treasury.
No complicated rules: It does not change who qualifies for pensions or how much they get—it just makes sure the money is available to pay them.
Immediate effect: The law starts working as soon as it receives Royal Assent (formal approval from the Governor-General).

Why it matters: This ensures veterans and their dependants receive their pension payments without interruption by legally authorising the specific amount of money needed for that purpose.
