Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This Act authorises the government to withdraw £10 million from Australia's main bank account (the Consolidated Revenue Fund) to pay war pensions.

During World War II, this legislation ensured money was available to support:

Veterans injured during military service
Families who lost loved ones in the war

The funds go into a special account called the War Pensions Fund, which keeps this money separate from other government spending until it is paid out to recipients. This is a straightforward "supply" law—it simply unlocks the cash needed to meet the government's existing obligations to those affected by the war.
