Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This Act authorises the Australian Government to spend £10 million from the national budget (the Consolidated Revenue Fund) on war pensions.

What this means:

War pensions are regular payments made to former soldiers (veterans) who were injured or disabled in war, or to the families of those who died.
The money is paid into a special government account called the War Pensions Fund, which was established under auditing laws.
This is essentially a 1932 budget measure ensuring there was money available to support returned servicemen and their dependants, primarily from World War I.

The Act does nothing else—it simply unlocks the funds for this specific purpose.
